What We Do

Our Programs and activities include but not limited to: 

Surgical and medical camps

• Periodic Continuous Medical education (CME)

• Blood donations 

• Workshops on different fields such as research.

• Visiting and offering medical support to orphanages.

• Providing various training opportunities nationally and internationally.

In its years of operation, KAMMP has been able to carry out its programs through different committees including: 

1. Professional development committee. 

2. Investment and welfare committee. 

3. Students and residents chapter.

And a Mental health committee which developed problems.

 

As a result of the covid pandemic, KAMMP together with a team of healthcare workers, Representatives of Ministry of Health, Muslim scholars, mosque representatives and other stakeholders came together to form the National Muslim covid response committee (NMCRC). The was involved in various programs such as:

• Countrywide outreach training to sensitize our communities on covid 19 

• Sensitization of Imams, scholars, mosque committee members and community representatives on Covid 19 guidelines and precautions

• Developed Guidelines on safe handling of the deceased, home based care and isolation, and mosques reopening.

• Mental Health programs including awareness creation, debriefing, psychosocial 

support, psychological first aid among others.

• Participated in the Muslim consultative meetings with different stakeholders incuding the Religious Inter-Faith Council, which oversaw safe reopening of mosques.
